Jamnia & Dehghani Memorial Scholarship Application

PURPOSE
In cooperation with the Education Foundation of Kenosha (EFK), Ms. Parivash Jamnia is sponsoring a one time $1000 scholarship in memory of her parents to be offered to a qualified graduating senior who has attended Brass Community School for a minimum of two years. This scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a Kenosha Unified School District student who will be pursuing a degree upon high school graduation. 

Mr. G. Reza Jamnia and his wife, Ms. Molook Dehghani, aka "Grandpa" and "Grandma" by students, volunteered at local elementary schools in Kenosha for several years. They enjoyed it immensely and it made a great memory for them. As parents, they believed that with the love and support of adults, children can reach their full potential. They strongly believed in higher education, as it opens more and better opportunities in life. 

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:

  • be graduating from a Kenosha Unified high school 

  • have attended Brass Community School for a minimum of two years

  • provide a high school transcript showing a 2.5 GPA or higher (for students planning to attend a college/university) or 2.0 GPA or higher (for students planning to attend technical college

FINANCIAL DATA
The scholarship award amount is $1000. The award is to be used for tuition, fees, and college residential costs at an accredited college/university/technical college, and will be issued directly to the educational institution.  Payment of scholarship will be made to university/college/technical college after one completed semester. Students must provide transcripts upon completion of first semester.
