John J. and Angeline J. Hosmanek Memorial Scholarship Application

PURPOSE
A fund has been established with the Kenosha Education Foundation of Kenosha to support a yearly scholarship to provide financial assistance to a student who has graduated from a Kenosha Unified School District high school this year. The scholarship will recognize an outstanding student who is planning to pursue a teaching career in public school education.

ELIGIBILITY
Kenosha Unified School District students who intend to enroll in an accredited college or university and prepare for a teaching career in public school. They must be academically capable, be able to demonstrate financial need, demonstrate an interest and/or experience in working with students, and be U.S. citizens. A grade point average of at least 2.5 must be maintained. 

FINANCIAL DATA
The scholarship award amount is a one time award for $2,000. The award is to be used for tuition, fees, and college residential costs at an accredited college or university, and will be issued directly to the university.  Payment of scholarship will be made to university/college after one completed semester. Students must provide transcripts upon completion of first semester.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Complete this application and submit by March 15th.
