Olivia MacKay College Study Abroad Memorial Scholarship Application

PURPOSE
In cooperation with the Education Foundation of Kenosha, the MacKay family is sponsoring a $2,000.00, one-time, scholarship to provide assistance to a Kenosha Unified School District High School student who will be graduating this year and will be participating in a college study abroad program in the first or second year of studies.

Olivia MacKay was an ITA student whose life was tragically taken in 2017. Olivia was determined to visit as many places around the world as possible while maintaining good grades and working two jobs. This scholarship was started to carry on her spirit while helping other students travel and study abroad.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be graduating from a Kenosha Unified high school. Academically capable students must demonstrate a financial need, provide a transcript showing a 3.0 grade point average or better, provide evidence of employment, and provide evidence of participation in a college study abroad program/travel. The scholarship may be used only at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States of America within 24 months of graduation. 

FINANCIAL DATA
The scholarship award amount is $2,000.  The award is to be used for fees associated with a study abroad program/travels at an accredited college or university, and will be issued directly to the university or organization.
